G1 PLATINUM is the brand new reed from G1 reeds and improves on the hugely successful G1 original reed, which was released in 2010 and is being played worldwide by top grade 1 bands and soloists.

The impressive platinum reed produces more resonance and clarity, particularly on the top hand. The Platinum pipe chanter reed also has a sharper high A which suits an even wider range of chanters. It locks in perfectly with your drones producing a lovely balance and true sound.

Please note that a tuning band (available separately) gives added control in achieving the desired strength and pitch of the reed.
